ENG 1101 – Renaissance Engineer 1: Ethics, Communication & Problem Solving
ENG 1101 aims to answer the questions – “Who an engineer is and what are his/her ethical and academic integrity obligations?” It also teaches to develop communications strategies for technical subjects in oral and written forms; dealing with ambiguity, uncertainties, and open ended problems in a technical context, problem definition strategies.
Course Learning Outcomes:
Recognize and examine the fundamentals and importance of ethics in academia and profession. Identify ethical challenges in given scenario(s) and to find remedies for dealing with them. Develop and apply rhetorical writing skills to communicate ideas to different audiences. Prepare and deliver professional presentation to audiences in given topics. Apply a systematic approach to comprehend and solve problems and provide estimates.
