Andrew Maxwell

Project Director

Andrew Maxwell has a distinguished record of consulting, research and teaching in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship and innovation management. He has been an innovation subject matter experts for a number of global organizations, a keynote speaker at (ISPIM and IAOIP) global innovation conferences, and is a member of the editorial board of several journals.  Andrew has developed undergraduate, executive education and graduate courses and programs in the field of Innovation Management. In addition to his academic appointment at York, Andrew continues to contribute to Canada’s Innovation Agenda as Chief Innovation Officer of the Canadian Innovation Centre.

Thomas Carey

Project co-Director

Tom Carey was recently appointed as Lassonde’s Executive-in-Residence for Teaching and Learning Innovation. He has a similar appointment at the British Columbia Association of Institutes and Universities and also serves as a Visiting Scholar at institutions in the U.S. and Australia. Tom’s past roles include Associate Vice President at the University of Waterloo, Senior Research Director for the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario, and Chief Learning Officer for a network of 18 U.S. higher education systems.

Anahita Baregheh

Lead Researcher, Workplace Innovation

Anahita is an Associate Professor at Nipissing University’s School of Business. Her research focuses on innovation management, decision-making, and leadership. Anahita is part of a research team that aims to support innovation managers in their decision making throughout the innovation process. Past research includes a multidisciplinary perspectives on innovation and tools for mapping innovation types.

Peter Wolf

Learning Design Consultant

Peter has 25 years of leadership experience in educational development in Ontario higher education. He recently served as Associate Vice-Provost (Teaching & Learning) at Queen’s University and as Director of two university centres for teaching and learning. Peter is one of Canada’s leading experts on curriculum mapping and program design, with a passion for evidence-based practice and continuous improvement in higher ed.

Blake Melnick

Blake is one of Canada’s foremost experts in the field of Knowledge Management. He is currently the CEO and Chief Knowledge Officer  for the Knowledge Management Institute of Canada. Blake has held executive positions in a variety of organizations over the past 20 years and has worked closely with Government, Business, Education, and Not for Profit organizations to help them improve their knowledge processes strategies. Blake leads Knowledge Management training and certification for Fortune 500 companies around the world.
